Overview

In light of the recent surge of Muslim Travelers, a majority being that of Indonesians and Malaysians in the area, the store has taken the initiative to provide a prayer room for worshippers. Completed in late 2014, Takashimaya Shinjuku became the first store to provide such facilities for Muslims so that consumers can enjoy to shop and dine without neglecting prayer obligations. The prayer room is located on the eleventh floor of the store.
