Overview

This iconic urban park is also known a Rizal Park, which marks this as an important historical place where Jose´ Rizal was executed during the Spanish colonial rule. The Rizal monument is a major attraction which includes a statue and a pathway lined with flags. There are eight large bronze statues that depict his final moments and execution along with statues of a firing squad as well. The park is usually crowded with locals and tourists mostly during weekends. Artworks of renowned Filipino artists are displayed within the park and in the Artists Haven, which are a must see. Families will find a playground for kids, a skating rink and stroll can be enjoyed in the Chinese Garden surrounded by a lagoon - or you can even visit The Ochidarium Manila and Japanese garden as well if you enjoy nature. The Manila Ocean Park oceanarium should also be visited to observe different kinds of marine life and see the Aquatica Musical Fountain.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims travelers to Luneta Park will find Mosques near the park such as the Ermita Mosque, Amepa Mosque and the Abu Malik Mosque. There are no prayer facilities at the location but outdoor spaces can be used instead.

Halal Food

There are several stalls and restaurants but they might not be Halal certified. You can ask locals to direct you to some Halal restaurants near the Rizal Park as there are few located within driving distance - or ask the staff at any place if they serve Halal food at their restaurant or stall. If not, select vegetarian or seafood items
