Overview
One must-visit attraction when in the coastal city of Vung Tau is the Worldwide Arms Museum. Run by Robert Taylor and his wife Nguyen Thi Bong, the 3-storey museum houses a variety of fascinating displays of warfare from across the globe. Visitors to the museum will come across a stunning collection of military uniforms dating back to the 1400's, swords; including a 19th century sword collection, thousands of guns, and other ancient weaponry spread across 1,500 square metres. The Worldwide Arms Museum offers so many educational and informative displays, that even visitors who have little interest in warfare will be occupied for hours.
Prayer Facilities
Muslim visitors to the Worldwide Arms Museum will not be able to find prayer facilities within its premises. They will also not be able to locate any mosques in the city of Vung Tau. Muslim tourists will therefore have to return to their hotel rooms at prayer times, if unable to locate a secluded spot outdoors.
Halal Food
While there is no known food outlet at the Worldwide Arms Museum, there is sure to be several restaurants and food stalls in the surrounding area. Muslim tourists will however find it difficult to locate Halal restaurants, as there are only one or two known establishments. If unable to find these, Muslim visitors could dine at one of the several seafood restaurants in the city.
