People’s Park

Overview

One of the most visited tourist attractions in Davao City is the 4 hectare People's Park. Located at the heart of Davao City, this beautiful green park offers so much to do and see, and is visited by locals and tourists alike. Visitors to this landmark will not only come across a variety of lush greenery from all over the world while here; the park is also home to a life-sized structure of the Philippine eagle, sculptures of indigenous people, an interactive dancing fountain, playgrounds for the kids, a mini forest, a durian-inspired visitor's center, artificial waterfalls and so much more. Featuring a plethora of awe-inspiring attractions, People's Park is known to be one of Davao City's main recreational centers and is a great destination for a fun day out with the entire family.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims visiting People's Park will not be able to find prayer facilities within the attraction. They will however be able to find plenty of clean and quiet places in the park to offer their prayers. Muslim tourists could also make use of the facilities offered at one of the several mosques in the city, such as the Davao City Islamic Center, Piapi Mosque and Buhangin Mosque.

Halal Food

Visitors to People's Park are sure to find stalls selling a variety of snacks and drinks. Muslim tourists must however double check that the items they buy are Halal. Because of the sizeable number of Muslims in Davao City, there are also quite a few Halal restaurants. Muslims visiting the park can therefore ask to be directed to the best one nearby if needed.
