Overview

Singapore's Gardens by the Bay is a world renowned, multi-award winning attraction that is visited by thousands of tourists each day. This futuristic attraction is located in the Singapore bay area and is spread across 101 hectares of reclaimed land. Offering mesmerizing views of the waterfront and featuring a number of gardens, lakes and other attractions, Gardens by the Bay is a unique attraction that has something for everyone. While here, visitors will come across the Bay South Garden and Bay East Garden, Cloud Forest, Supertree Grove, Flower Dome, Heritage Gardens, the World of Plants, Dragonfly Lake and Kingfisher Lake, Sun Pavillion, Far East Organization Children's Garden and the OCBC Skyway. The Cloud Forest is home to the world's tallest indoor waterfall and a 35-metre tall mist covered mountain which is heavily vegetated. The largest of the gardens found here; Bay South Garden, designed in the shape of the Singapore Orchid or the Vanda 'Miss Joaquim' is also not to be missed. The gigantic Supertrees which stand at about 25 – 50 metres tall consist of suspended walkways that allow visitors to walk from one Supertree to another, and enjoy a bird's eye view of the unique tree-shaped vertical gardens. They will also be able to experience a choreographed light and sound show, in the evenings, while here. While the numerous gardens filled with flowers and plants is reason enough to visit Gardens by the Bay, there are also a number of other venues filled with fun things to see and do, and several fantastic dining options, ranging from casual to fine dining.

Prayer Facilities

While Muslim tourists will not be able to find prayer facilities at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore city is home to numerous mosques. Some of the most popular prayer facilities in the city include Masjid Sultan, Masjid Abdul Gaffoor, Darul Aman Mosque, Al-Istighfar Mosque, Malabar Masjid and Masjid Omar Kampong Melaka. Muslim visitors can therefore ask to be directed to the nearest mosque to the attraction, when needed.

Halal Food

As mentioned above, there are several restaurants and cafés located throughout Gardens by the Bay. Pollen, Majestic Bay Seafood Restaurant, IndoChine, Café Crema, Children's Garden Café, Supertree Dining, Satay by the Bay and Bakerzin are all found at Gardens by the Bay. While Muslim visitors will definitely be able to find Halal food at some of these outlets, it is best to double check with restaurant staff before dining.
