Overview

One of Manchester's popular attractions is the National Football Museum; known to be the biggest and best football museum in the world. Attracting a large number of visitors per year, this museum is great for die hard football fans, as well as those who are less familiar with the sport. It is home to the finest collection of football memorabilia in the world, like shirts worn by world renowned players like Pelé and Maradona. Collections of artifacts and archives found here include the FIFA Collection, the Football League Collection, the Football Clubs Collection and the Sir Stanley Matthews Collection amongst others. The museum offers numerous fun, interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages, as well as a Discovery Zone for visitors under 5 and a floor dedicated to family activities. Those visiting the museum should also make it a point to keep a look out for special displays and events which take place throughout the year. There are also guided tours of the museum from 11am - 4pm every hour.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims visiting the National Football Museum will not be able to find prayer facilities within its premises. However, due to the large population of Muslims in the city of Manchester, and surrounding areas, there are quite a number of mosques and Islamic Centers in Manchester; with the Manchester Central Mosque and Makki Masjid being some of them.

Halal Food

Those looking to get a bite to eat while at the National Football Museum can visit the Café. While Muslim visitors will not be able to find Halal certified food here, they are sure to find suitable seafood and vegetarian dining options. Also, finding Halal restaurants in the city of Manchester will not be much of a problem.
