Overview

Prospect Park is the ideal place to go when looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York City. Often compared to Manhattan's Central Park, this 585 acre oasis of scenic beauty offers something for everyone. A favorite among families; Prospect Park is home to over a dozen ball fields, basketball courts, cycling tracks, a lake used for fishing and boating, horseback riding paths, play areas for kids, a carousel, a tennis center, volleyball and soccer courts and even a seasonal ice and roller skating rink, amongst other recreational and athletic facilities. It is also a great place for bird watching and picnicking. Also found at the park are the Prospect Park Zoo, the Audobon Center, the Long Meadow and the Boathouse. The park also hosts greenmarkets where visitors can find a variety of organic and free-range products.

Prayer Facilities

Finding prayer facilities at Prospect Park will not be possible, but Muslim visitors will definitely be able to locate a clean and quiet area outdoors to offer their prayers. Muslim tourists could also visit one of the many mosques in Brooklyn, such as the Brooklyn Islamic Center, Masjid At-Taqwa, Fatih Camii Mosque and the Thayba Islamic Center.

Halal Food
