New England Aquarium

Overview

The New England Aquarium is a fantastic attraction for the entire family and is an absolute must-visit when in the city of Boston. The aquarium is home to thousands of fascinating aquatic animals which will keep visitors occupied for hours. It also houses the 'Giant Ocean Tank' which is a four-story tank featuring a Caribbean coral reef, sea turtles, eels, a variety of colorful fish, stingrays and so much more. The New England Aquarium features a number of other exhibits where visitors will come across lionfish, seadragons, sea lions, octopus and even three species of penguins. Other attractions at the aquarium include an IMAX Theatre and the New England Aquarium Whale Watch. There are even programs, classes and lectures visitors can take to learn more about marine creatures in addition to animal encounter programs and guided tours.

Prayer Facilities

Finding prayer facilities at the New England Aquarium will not be possible. Muslim visitors will therefore have to visit one of the many mosques in the city. Masjid al-Qur'an, the Islamic Center of Boston and Masjid Al Noor are a few of the numerous mosques which are frequented by locals and tourists alike.

Halal Food

Tourists looking to get a bite to eat while at the museum can visit the Reef for a variety of delicious food items. Also because of the aquarium's location on the Boston waterfront, tourists will be able to find plenty of seafood restaurants near the aquarium. While these restaurants may not be Halal certified, they are sure to serve vegetarian and seafood dishes suitable for Muslims. There are also numerous Halal restaurants situated throughout the city of Boston.
