Overview
The Alameda Park is located in the heart of the town, just north of Avenida del Mar and is a popular meeting place for the residents of Marbella. Offering visitors an oasis away from the busy Old Town area located nearby, the Alameda Park is definitely worth a visit when in Marbella. This lovely green haven in the center of the city is filled with lush greenery and interesting tropical plants and is a great place to relax and people watch. While the notable features of the park are its unique ceramic benches and the beautiful circular fountain, it also has two kiosks selling a range of magazines and international newspapers. A stroll through this charming little park is quite a delightful experience and is a must when in the area.
Prayer Facilities
While Muslim tourists will not find prayer facilities at Alameda Park, they will be able to locate prayer facilities in the city of Marbella. Tourists could offer their prayers at the Al Risalat Mosque, the most prominent mosque in the city. They could also ask the locals for directions to other prayer facilities in the city.
Halal Food
Since Alameda Park is located near the Old Town area, tourists will find numerous restaurants nearby. However these cafés and restaurants may not be Halal certified. Muslim tourists could get more information regarding Halal restaurants while at the mosque. Those unable to find Halal cuisine can opt for vegetarian or seafood dishes.
