The minaret standing 234 feet high is definitely worthy of a visit when in Delhi. A great masterpiece of Mughal architecture, the Qutub Minar has five storeys and is covered in intricate carvings and inscriptions in Arabic. It is one of India's most visited monuments and is a favorite tourist destination when in Delhi. Surrounded by lush green gardens and other archaeological monuments, Qutub Minar is an ideal location to enjoy a leisurely afternoon with the family.

Prayer Facilities

Although Quwwat-ul Islam Mosque; the first mosque to be built in India is at the foot of Qutub Minar, Muslim visitors requiring prayer facilities will not be able to pray here as the mosque is currently in ruins, they will however be able to locate other prayer facilities in the city as Delhi is home to several mosques.
