Overview
When in Nice, another attraction that must be visited is the baroque Palais Lascaris. This 17th century building was a palatial home of the Lascaris-Vintimille family that was turned into a public museum. Located in Nice's Old Town, the Palais Lascaris is a hidden gem that is definitely worthy of a visit. The museum is home to a large and beautiful collection of antiques and ornamentations that date back to the 18th century. While here, the monumental staircase as well as the palace's luxuriously decorated rooms are must-sees. There is also a 19th century apothecary's shop, or French pharmacy here that is worth a visit. This free attraction is also a great option for tourists on a rainy day.
Prayer Facilities
While Muslim visitors will not find prayer facilities at the Palais Lascaris, the city of Nice is home to quite a few mosques. If unable to locate any mosques in Nice's Old Town, Muslim tourists can ask the locals to direct them to the nearest mosque or prayer facility to the Palais Lascaris.
Halal Food
Nice's Old Town is a fantastic place for those looking to get a bite to eat. Although visitors will not be able to find an eatery at the Palais Lascaris, they will be able to find a variety of dining options in town. While it may not be easy to locate Halal restaurants in Vieux Nice, finding seafood and vegetarian restaurants will be easy.
