Overview
The Massena Palace Museum of Art and History, often referred to as the Massena Museum or the Massena Palace is a municipal museum in Nice. The museum is located in a 19th century luxury villa that is also one of the last of that century. This villa was built by Andre Masséna between 1898 and 1901. The Massena Museum came into existence in 1921 and is home to more than 15,000 exhibits, displayed in over 20 exhibition rooms. It is a fantastic place to visit for those interested in learning about the history of Nice. The museum is also known for its absolutely beautiful architecture. Even though the historic palace was extensively renovated for 8 years, the building has been restored to its former glory. It is therefore a popular stop for those visiting Nice's popular Promenade des Anglais.
Prayer Facilities
While Muslim tourists will not be able to find a prayer room at the Massena Museum, they will be able to locate quite a few mosques in the surrounding areas of the city of Nice. They may also be able to find an empty, quiet space in the museums garden to offer their prayers.
Halal Food
There are quite a number of Halal restaurants in the city of Nice, at which Muslim tourists can dine. They can get directions to these restaurants from the locals or while at any of the city's mosques. Muslim visitors can also dine at local French restaurants that serve vegetarian and seafood dishes, after making sure the dishes do not consist of anything non-Halal.
