Overview

Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport&nbspis the airport located in Ahmadabad, Iran. It is one of the two international operating airports in Tehran. Ahmadabad is 1 hour drive from Tehran. It was made to replace Mehrabad International Airport. It is named in honour of Ruhollah Khomeini.

The airport has 1 Terminal which is divided into 2 concourses.

Those who want to travel in Iran via domestic flight have to take a shuttle bus to Mehrabad Airport.

Prayer Facilities

There are 3 Muslim prayer room within the airport. One is located in the departure hall, the other &nbsplocated on the way between the two concourses and the third located in the arrival hall of the airport. The prayer room is opened for 24 hours.

Halal Food

There are Halal food available at most of the outlet in the airport. There are many cafe's, bakeries, juice shops within the airport. There are also great restaurants which serve Persian food.

There are buses and shuttle buses service taking you to important landmarks in Tehran

If you have already booked a hotel ask them to pick you up.

There is a shuttle bus connecting Tehran Imam Khomeini International airport to Mehrabad airport for transfer to domestic flights
