Is it okay if I start off by saying that I have two destinations and not just one? Cos I’m kinda having a hard time trying to choose one between them.
Well guess it’s mainly Nepal and secondly Tibet. Close by, I know, divided by the great Himalayas. The reason I would love to visit Nepal has a lot to do with their history and the culture I follow, as I’m interested in knowing the history of what I believe. They say every activity here revolves around finding yourself and seeking your roots.
Adding more to it, I’m always fascinated by the level of creativity of a person. Well Nepal is where you’ll find a lot of creative activities, much comfy clothes and simplicity in a colourful world.
Berlin is the capital and the largest city of Germany. I would like to travel to Berlin because it’s one of the greatest football playing cities in the world!
I'd also like to experience the city's atmosphere of art, artists and rich culture. I would want to visit unique historical buildings with architectural designs such as the Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, Berliner Dom and Museum Island with my friends on a winter holiday
If I was asked for a suitable destination for a relaxing holiday I would recommend Berlin as the suitable destination.
This is the first time I'm talking about my top dream travel destination. I have asked this a lot from myself; if I could go somewhere in the world, where would I pick to travel?
I have long list in mind, destinations that I dream about. Well, moving forward to 2017, I wish I could travel to Singapore and spend a luxury holiday with so much fun. Are you curious to know what I love to see there or what activities I wish to do during my trip to Singapore? Here’s bit out of it!
There are plenty of reasons to plan a vacation trip to this opulent city including yummy multi-cuisine food, glistening modern skyscrapers, lavish gardens and of course high class shopping. I’m a shopaholic so whenever I travel, I enjoy shopping very much and do it a lot. So definitely I will do some shopping down the famous Orchard Road.
Don’t you think it’ll be awesome to spend a day in Sentosa and hang out for a while at the beautiful beaches in Sentosa Island while relaxing by the ocean wind and waves? I’m expecting to see a diverse mix of things including Gardens By The Bay, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Chinatown, Little India, Bugis and Arab Street, etc.
My wish is to spend a comfortable holiday in Marina Bay Sands Hotel while sight-seeing all the beautiful surroundings in Singapore. It’s undoubtedly a travel destination you’d want to visit at least once in your lifetime.
I’m a person with a passion to capture nature scenery. With the few photography tools I have, I still manage to fulfil my needs. This is one of main reasons that I enjoy my job role. Moving on, getting back to topic of this article, yes, if I ever get a chance to visit Canada, I will definitely make sure that I’ll see the Northern Lights and that I will carry the best tools to capture amazing moments for a lifetime journey filled with happiness.
The first international trip I made was way back in 1982. Since then, over the last 34 years, I have had the opportunity to visit more than 40 countries. However, I have still not been to any city in South America! So that's where I would like to visit in 2017.
The Inca ruins in Machu Pichu, Peru will definitely be on top of the list. It looks like a very interesting place and it should have an amazing experience similar to Petra in Jordan. Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia would also be great places to visit.
I wish to experience a completely different local and cultural experience. Well, any South American destination would do it for me in 2017! I assume finding Halal food will be rather challenging in that part of the world. I might have to remain vegetarian when traveling. No plans yet however. I hope something such as a work-related trip comes up to take me there in 2017.
It comes as no surprise that with a world of wonder out there meant to be explored, and me being the self-confessed travel fanatic that I am, that I would have a mile long travel bucket list - minus the million dollar budget to actually realize it, of course!
While I would happily go anywhere, with just about anyone, if asked, one destination that has managed to keep its #1 spot on that list, while pretty much every other destination has been shuffled around through the years of my obsession with travel, is Europe’s true heart; Vienna.
When I found myself constantly daydreaming about it when younger, I knew that the only way I would truly feel like I made it, would be if I got the chance to see, experience & eat my way through the ethereal city.
I’m always intrigued by places that are hidden and take a bit of effort to discover, and Vienna, being an eclectic mix of old and new, steeped in awe-inspiring history and culture, its winding cobble stone lanes, along with its enchanting parks, majestic Imperial Palaces such as the Hofburg and Schönbrunn, and its postcard-perfect gotta-see-to-believe scenery, just manages to ignite a serious case of wanderlust within me, like no other destination ever could.
Oh and let’s not forget, it also happens to be home to one of my all-time fav desserts - and let me state for the record, I’m not even that big a fan of sweets! - the gooey, coma-inducing apple strudel!
While I could ramble on and on for days, for your sake, (yup, you may want to thank me right now ;)) I'm going to leave you with a quote by Mark Twain that has and will forever mean to me things I cannot put into words (shocker, eh!?):
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
I would like to go see New York so I can start conversations with “when I was in New York City….”, only kidding.
Being a die-hard comic fan, New York has been home to many of the superhero characters. (Get my point? No? Okay read on…).
Chrysler Building is Spidey's (Spider Man) regular perch when he's using his spider-sense, The New York Public Library where this famous quote was spoken, 'With great power comes great responsibility!' Also The Empire State Building where the mighty Thor descended from Asgard. My point is... I would love to go see these iconic buildings in order to picture fiction turn into non-fiction.
Apart from my relationship with comics, sports has been an obsession since childhood, and for that the Flushing Meadows, Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium is a MUST for me to visit. I am sure you must have heard of the gift France gave to America? The Statue of Liberty. Not to forget Times Square and the heart of it – Madame Tussauds. Interested in arts? Metropolitan Museum of Art’s got it all, ancient to contemporary.
New York covers every continent’s worth of culture in one trip. It has and will be my dream destination.
You hardly come across someone who doesn't want to travel the world. Well, I am no different.
Jungfrau, which is located on top of Europe and known for its famous peaks is high on my bucket list since there is a lot to offer, especially the breathtaking views from the top. I also can't wait to visit Jungfrau's Ice Palace, and the world’s highest Lindt Chocolate Shop - Lindt's Swiss Chocolate Heaven, and what better place to learn to ski and snowboard than on Jungfrau’s very own Jungfraujoch!
Seoul! That's where I yearn to be whisked away to. The city has always enthralled me with its unique aura - its busy streets, chic everyday style, large buildings & little coffee shops and the endless places waiting to be explored.
My dream visit to Seoul would include a stop to the Namsan Tower, to take in some of the most glorious views of the cityscape as well as to catch a glimpse of the tower's much-famed love padlocks. Having seen and heard so much about it, the Han River is another must-see spot, found in the heart of Seoul.
There's just so much to see and do! How great would it be to savour some tteokbokki at one of Seoul's numerous street food stalls..drop by at Insadong, the city's beautiful art district..visit ancient palaces and many other historical sites. Perhaps even be a part of the exhilaration of a Super Show or Kpop concert :3 Like for me, this dazzling South Korean destination has quickly become the dream travel destination of many youth in recent years. This comes as little surprise, owing to the hallyu wave that has swept across the globe, elevating the popularity of Korean entertainment and culture around the world.
So yeah, that's where I'd want to go to. Take me to Seoul!
If you’re an outdoorsy kind of person like me, then South Africa is your place to be!!
Why go anywhere else when you can have the world in Cape Town? Sinking those tired aching soles (and souls) in warm soft sand while soaking up the sun and letting the waves wash away all, leaving only everything good behind, is exactly what I need!
If you see it, you'd agree hands down that Cape Town has the world’s best urban beaches! If you’re in a more adventurous mood, just dive in, go snorkeling and explore the tropical coral reefs! Or we could go for a hike, horse riding or even paragliding over those breathtaking beaches!
Not good enough? How about getting up close and personal with a great white shark!? Let's not even talk about the mouthwatering food there because when I've got my HalalTrip App I've got all the Halal restaurants in my pocket!
Do you really need more reasons to visit? My biggest concern would be in convincing myself that I need to come back!! Oh wait, I think I forgot to go on a safari! See ya later!
I think Andalusia has an interesting charm about it. Its rich history and UNESCO heritage sites are amongst some of the country’s unique qualities. Its culture, history, religion, political ideologies and events throughout the centuries are palpable in its architecture, food, fashion and people in a vivid juxtaposition of old and new.
Some places on my to-visit list include the Alhambra Palace in Granada and the Grand Mosque in Cordoba. I definitely would like to check out the infamous Gaudí buildings that adorn the streets of Barcelona too.
One of other the reasons I indulge in travel is to scour the city for local Halal eats and sweets. Sure, you can get Halal Paella and Churros and more in Singapore but nothing beats the original. Also next on the list – Halal Tapas! (wish me luck!).
My 20 years of experience in the airline and travel industry has one momentous acme - the knack to travel internationally and domestically. Each year, my wife and I try our best for 1 short haul and 1 long haul vacation, if time permits.
Life is full of life and so is Croatia! That’s my target destination for 2017!
Is there a place you've always wanted to go to? For me, that amazing voyage would have to be to Australia, Melbourne.
There are many unique and interesting places for me to visit and have a great experience; the wildlife, historical sites, restaurants, forests, deserts and beaches that the country is home to.
I hope to have a good time there with my family. When I hear the word Melbourne, my heart beats loud. No one should forget to have a ride on Yarra River. It is at the heart of Melbourne and is located along the southern coast of Australia’s eastern seaboard.
When I travel somewhere, I have a bad habit that you'd be surprised to know :/ I always look for restaurants that serve my favourite cuisine. See Melbourne, this is another reason why you've topped my travel list.
I love Chinese cuisine and I will be definitely search for places with the best Chinese restaurants in Melbourne. I will probably be staying in China Town during my whole trip! Also I'd never forget to do some shopping around the Crown Shopping Mall.
Melbourne, I wish to see you soon and I hope to have an unforgettable experience with you. Can’t wait until that day.
