Description
The Auburn Gallipoli Mosque looks very much like a Mosque in Turkey, with its classical Ottoman Architecture. It was built as a replica of a Mosque in Gallipoli. The Mosque was officially opened November 1999. Due to lack of funding, it took almost 13 years to complete the current structure of the Mosque, which was built on the location of an earlier Mosque.
The Friday Khutbah is held in Turkish since almost 50% of the congregation is of Turkish origin. It can accomodate more than 2000 people for Salaath.
