Located on Jalan Pekan Melayu, in Alor Setar, in the Malaysian state of Kedah, is the wonderful mural of the country’s former prime minister; Tun Dr, Mahathir Mohamad. This state government initiative in conjunction with the 'Tourism Month of the Legend Kedah’ has drawn in large amounts of locals and tourists alike. The production of the mural started off with a basic sketch using true life images, used hundreds of cans of spray and resulted in the 30.48 metre-wide mural of the iconic leader in a native Kedah Malay shirt and black songkok – a traditional cap widely worn in the area. While here, visitors will also be able to see murals of the Proton Saga; which was Malaysia’s first car and the world-renowned Petronas Twin Towers.
