As Salam Halal Trip for organizing this contest for us travel kakis ! :) I have previously visited Indonesia but to very limited places, confined to only nearby locations such as Batam and Bintan only. Indonesia is a wonderful country housing the largest Muslim population in the world and as a Muslim, I have minimal or no worries when travelling there. I am assured that my halal needs are taken care of, in terms of food and prayer facilities. Mosques are aplenty. The Indonesians are a friendly lot with cheery smiles whenever you see them. What's being said that a smile is a sedekah, yes may Indonesia prosper and be successful always ! They will willingly share what's theirs with yours opening up their homes and hearts to us visitors. I always enjoyed myself whenever I'm in Indonesia :) The favourable currency exchange rates, the variety in shopping items, the beautiful beaches and the natural wonders that Allah swt has granted to this Muslim land, its simply indescribable and astonishing. You can literally eat for days in Indonesia and always be trying something new. Some popular Indonesian foods are satay (like lamb or chicken skewers), nasi goreng (a fried rice plate with other foods added to it like fried eggs, vegetables, and chicken), gudeg (a dish made from boiled young jackfruit, often served with rice, sambal sauce and chicken) and my favorite, sambal sauce - a spicy sauce that can be added rice and many other dishes. Indonesia is also one of the largest coffee producers in the world - the phrase “a cup of Java” actually comes from Indonesia’s island of the same name, where the coffee comes from. They are also famous for Kopi Luwak, which is coffee made from the poop of the Luwak - aka civet cat - that has eaten coffee beans and pooped them out. Bandung is clean, safe and the people are very friendly. It has beautiful scenery and relatively cool tropical weather for relaxation. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim! I remember about two months before knowing that I will be going to visit Bandung for a family vacation during the December break which was 2 years ago, I was totally excited and so enthusiastic on getting myself busy searching for attractions and a-must-to-visit-places in Bandung. It was one of the best city that I have ever been/experience. The beautiful scenery around the Volcano area, Gunung Tangkuban Parahu, Kawah Putih and especially the Tea Plantations, where it seem like I'm at the location for filming (just in does Indonesia drama, HAHA!) I totally loved the scenery there, especially the people, surrounding and atmosphere where we won't be able to experience here in Singapore. A part of visiting the attraction places, one of thing I loved about travelling is to try on their local FOOD. Oh well, who doesn't love to eat right? Especially their street food is KEBABOOM! Their local ayam penyet sambal was totally a different taste to where we get here in Singapore, with that I loved it where every food places we went to dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner they will NEVER failed to serve us with a cup of tea, there is where I see a great service serve by them. But how surprise where you thought that the word "Bandung" in meal (Bandung drink or Mee Bandung) could originally come from the city itself, well surprisingly you won't be able to see the local selling any Bandung drink or even Mee Bandung there in Bandung. Basically they the local doesn't even heard about it before. Haha! The most memorable place where I will never forget till today, was when my little brother decided to defecate at the Tea Plantation (due to uncontrollable situation) haha! Totally an unforgettable memory! Well, you will definitely might want to know why I would love to visit Bandung again, so here are the main 6 reason on why I would love/what I would do to visit Bandung again. 1. I would love to come back to their delicious street food, especially BAKSO! 2. I would love to try on some sports and fun activities at the recreation park near to the Sari Ater Hot Spring 3. I would love to come back to shop for more nice/ cheap stuffs 4. I would love to stay near to the Kawah Putih area or any where but far from the busy city 5. I would love to know or learn a little bit about Bandung, and lastly 6. The last Indonesia trip, to Bali, we went as husband & wife was 3 years ago. It was my second while it was the first for my husband. Why would I want to go Indonesia? The fact that I haven't been there explains the immense crave to be there at bandung. In this year itself, bandung seems to be a hot Favourite. Apa yang saya tertarik untuk menjejakkan kaki ke Indonesia ialah untuk merasai kehidupan dan kebudayaan di sana. Merasai pelbagai juadah dan hidangan penduduk di sana ialah satu keinginan yang tinggi dalam diri saya. Saya ingin menikmati nasi padang, makanan jawa di sana disamping membeli belah di 'syurga' buat para pelancong. Why would I want to go Indonesia? The fact that I haven't been there explains the immense crave to be there at bandung. In this year itself, bandung seems to be a hot Favourite. Every other person is heading there for kawah putih/tangkuban perahu and as much as everyone would like to bring a loved ones, i would want it too. I would like to bring my very first love one, that is my Mother. Indonesia has long been the 'ah, there's nothing there except the hotspot Bali for honeymoon' but now it's slowly beginning to change. I would like to feel the culture but most importantly, taste the authentic street food, the ayam penyet as well as the Mee bakso. And whats more, the shopping haven! Kain seems to be a hot Favourite there and bringing my Mother to bandung is definitely her kind of thing. I definitely want to be given a chance to give her the experience and the happiness for going to a holiday that she feels at sync with. The last Indonesia trip, to Bali, we went as husband & wife was 3 years ago. It was my second while it was the first for my husband. Ever since that trip, whenever there is documentary show about Indonesia, my husband would bring up about our trip to Bali because he is still mesmerised with their culture, food, the people, the laid-back lifestyle & not forgetting the scenic view. I've been wanting to bring him again to other parts of Indonesia like Lombok, Surabaya, Jakarta, Bandung but because of his tight schedule in operating food business, it's hard for him to have a break. Participating in this means a lot as not only will give him the opportunity to see other parts of Indonesia but also the quality time that I, or rather we long for. For him to have a break. Also, in hope, to relax from the hectic life, and maybe, to make babies in Bandung. Heh. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim! I remember about two months before knowing that I will be going to visit Bandung for a family vacation during the December break which was 2 years ago, I was totally excited and so enthusiastic on getting myself busy searching for attractions and a-must-to-visit-places in Bandung. It was one of the best city that I have ever been/experience. The beautiful scenery around the Volcano area, Gunung Tangkuban Parahu, Kawah Putih and especially the Tea Plantations, where it seem like I'm at the location for filming (just in does Indonesia drama, HAHA!) I totally loved the scenery there, especially the people, surrounding and atmosphere where we won't be able to experience here in Singapore. A part of visiting the attraction places, one of thing I loved about travelling is to try on their local FOOD. Oh well, who doesn't love to eat right? Especially their street food is KEBABOOM! Their local ayam penyet sambal was totally a different taste to where we get here in Singapore, with that I loved it where every food places we went to dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner they will NEVER failed to serve us with a cup of tea, there is where I see a great service serve by them. But how surprise where you thought that the word "Bandung" in meal (Bandung drink or Mee Bandung) could originally come from the city itself, well surprisingly you won't be able to see the local selling any Bandung drink or even Mee Bandung there in Bandung. Basically they the local doesn't even heard about it before. Haha! The most memorable place where I will never forget till today, was when my little brother decided to defecate at the Tea Plantation (due to uncontrollable situation) haha! Totally an unforgettable memory! Well, you will definitely might want to know why I would love to visit Bandung again, so here are the main 6 reason on why I would love/what I would do to visit Bandung again. 1. I would love to come back to their delicious street food, especially BAKSO! 2. I would love to try on some sports and fun activities at the recreation park near to the Sari Ater Hot Spring 3. I would love to come back to shop for more nice/ cheap stuffs 4. I would love to stay near to the Kawah Putih area or any where but far from the busy city 5. I would love to know or learn a little bit about Bandung, and lastly 6. I would really really love to travel to Bandung with my best friend and experience the beautiful City of Bandung with her I really hope to win this amazing 4 Days 3 Nights trip to Bandung and share this trip with my best friend. Kenapa saya nak pergi ke Bandung lagi??? 1: Dalam masa 8 tahun, mesti banyak perubahan yang telah berlaku di Bandung. 2: Saya ingin melihat kembali Gunung Tangkuban Perahu. Saya ingin menghidu kembali udara di kawasan gunung berapi. Kisah dongeng mengenai gunung itu sering menjadi kisah sebelum tidur yang akan saya ceritakan kepada anak saudara. Saya sangat suka melihat kebesaran Allah SWT yang terdapat di Bandung. 3: Saya ingin melihat floating market yang menjadi bualan orang ramai. 4: Saya ingin makan makanan di Kampung Daun. 5: Saya ingin makan di The Kiosk. 6: saya ingin berjalan di kaki-kaki lima dalam pekan Bandung sambil melihat masyarakat Bandung berniaga.. 7: Saya ingin mendengar suara nanyian oleh masyarakat tempatan di tepi jalan sekitar pekan Bandung terutamanya pemuda-pemuda yang bernyanyi menggunakan ukulele. 8: Saya ingin menghirup udara segar di taman-taman botani sekitar Bandung. 9: Saya mahu makan es jeruk, es teler, tempe, dan macam-macam lagi makanan tradisi di Bandung. Walaupun di Malaysia ada gerai yang menjual makanan-makanan tersebut, rasanya tidak original seperti di Bandung. 10: Sebab terakhir ialah.... saya mahu berbelanja dan membeli belah sepuas hati di Bandung.. hehe..
