Allah Ta’ala has granted His slaves such tools through which they are able to alleviate any problem, big or small:
Sincerely asking Allah for forgiveness will not only erase one’s sins but will also remove any negative effects these sins have brought about. Nabi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam has mentioned, “Whoever holds fast to Istighfaar, Allah will grant him relief from every worry, a way out from every hardship, and provide for him in ways he cannot even imagine.” (Abu Dawood)
Carry out the commands of Allah and refrain from those things which he has prohibited. Allah Ta’ala says, “And whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make a way out for them and provide for them from sources they could never imagine.” (Surah Talaq; V: 2/3)
Allah Ta’ala has the power to remove the greatest difficulty. It is therefore imperative that we turn to Him & seek His help. Nabi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam has said, “Indeed Dua benefits a person with regards to what has already befallen and to what has not yet befallen. So hold fast onto Dua, O servants of Allah. (Tirmidhi)
Sadaqah is an effective method of preventing & removing adversities. Nabi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam has mentioned, “Hasten in giving Sadaqah, for tribulations cannot bypass Sadaqah.” (Tabarani)
Exercising patience shows submission to the Will of Allah which brings His Assistance. Allah has mentioned, 'Surely, Allah is with those who adopt patience!' (Surah Baqara; V:153)
Salaah becomes even more important during times of distress and difficulty, Allah has mentioned, “Seek the help (of Allah) through patience & Salaah.” (Surah Baqara; V:45)
Zikr of Allah attracts His Help and Mercy like a magnet. Allah says, “I am with my slave whenever he remembers Me.” (Bukhari)
Recite the following Masnoon Dua to seek protection from severe calamities:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلاَءِ، وَدَرَكِ الشَّقَاء وَسُوْءِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَشَمَاتَةِ الأَعْدَاءِ
Allahumma inni aouzubika min jahdil balaa, wa darakish shaqaa, wa soo’il Qada, wa shamaatatil a’adaa
“O Allah, I seek refuge in you from the difficulties of severe calamities, from an evil end, a bad fate and from the malicious joy of (my) enemies.”
(Sahih Bukhāri)
