Calling all film buffs, critically-acclaimed-film lovers, or individuals looking for unique and fun things to do in Singapore. An afternoon outing to The Projector will promise you an unforgettable experience!
Movies screened in The Projector are usually critically acclaimed ones, most of them making appearances at film festivals. It is hard to find these movies in the usual cinema chains. The Projector is the right place for you to be if you wanted to catch those movies.
The Projector is located at the fifth story of Golden Mile Tower. It is approximately a 5-minute walk from Nicoll Highway MRT Station. If you happen to commute via the East-West Line, you can alight at Lavender MRT Station and walk past the HDB houses and also the Golden Mile Food Center.
There is only 1 bus service that stops at the bus stop opposite Golden Mile Complex. If bus service 100 is in your way, then you can hop on it and alight straight at the Golden Mile Complex Bus Stop.

Golden Mile Tower was known to house the biggest cinema in Singapore back in the 1970s named Golden Theater. When The Projector took over, it didn’t only continue the legacy of movie screening but also preserved the history left behind. In fact, the two screening halls that are now called Golden 1 and Golden 2 were once the circle seats of Golden Theater. You can still witness the original theater doors and sit on the flip-up wooden chairs.
Or if you are on a me-time session or date night with the spouse, a trip to The Projector can never go wrong. If you like to be surprised and delighted, head straight to The Projector and buy your ticket to your chosen movie.
Alternatively, you can head down to their official website and browse through the movie catalogs. You can also check the timing of the selected movies, helping you to plan your day out easily.
The Projector has expanded to allow patrons to enjoy their movie collection at home. Called The Projector Plus, you can rent a movie for as low as SGD10 and enjoy it at home. All you need to do is create an account, and you are good to go. Choose from the available movies, and you can spend the day or night away!
If you plan to stay at home and spend lazy weekends away, then renting a movie from Projector Plus should be the plan.

Have you ever wanted to host your own movie screening with a group of friends? Or even celebrate a romantic night with your spouse on an anniversary? How about renting any one of the halls to commemorate the special day!
You are free to use some of the amenities and equipment once you rent their venue. With a rental of 4 hours and a competitive price, I am sure it will be a memorable event for you and your guests. Check out their venue hire page here for more info!
Whether you are appointed to the Green Room, the Blue Room, or the RedRum, their vintage look and feel would make a great shot for your social media feed. You also can’t miss out on the iconic spiral staircase, which has popped up numerous times on social media.
There used to be another raved about spot when it comes to Insta-worthy locations. I am talking about the rooftop of the Golden Mile Complex. But unfortunately, it is no longer accessible to the public. If you are still looking for a photo spot, there's always Haji Lane to explore. The murals and colorful shophouses will definitely make a perfect backdrop for your photos.

Catching a movie here might be one of the plans you had for the day. But if you’re wondering what to do while waiting for your movie to start, we got you covered. Check out these activities you can do in the vicinity:
What is a day out without food or refreshment? Head down to Golden Mile Food Center and enjoy a variety of Halal delicacies. Tucked in the basement of the Food Center, go from your traditional Malay Cuisine to the delicious Sup Tulang.
But fret not because your Halal food hunt won't stop here. Just walk down the road towards Jalan Sultan, and the rest is history. The choices of Halal food here are unlimited, and there must be something here to satisfy your craving!
If you happen to be dining at Golden Mile Food Center, you can’t miss out on the Beach Road Army Market. Located at the second story of the Golden Mile Food Center, you can find almost 100 stores selling army and camping gear.
The Beach Road Army Market used to be swarmed by army boys and uniformed groups to get their needs. But due to the introduction of the SAF eMart in 1997, it is rare to see people crowding the market these days. Starting from December 2020, it will be undergoing renovation along with the Golden Mile Food Center.

The Amazing Chambers Singapura is unlike any other escape rooms that you can find elsewhere. About 8 minutes walk from Golden Mile Tower, its theme for each room focuses on Singapore's history and culture. It is not only about the fun and thrill of trying to escape the chambers. You would also be able to gain some historical knowledge in engaging and entertaining media.
With 22 chambers to choose from, I am sure spending a day at the Amazing Chambers before catching a show at The Projector is worthwhile. Each game is at SGD34.90 off-peak and SGD38.90 during the peak period. Check out their website for more info!
