The Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2024 showcases a promising number of trends that accommodate faith-based travellers and positively redefine their travel experience. The report further highlights the unwavering support for Muslim tourists by meeting their needs efficiently. 

We covered the list of OIC destinations , now lets take a look at the non-OIC Destinations. This year's ranking indicates a positive trend in the performance of non-OIC destinations, with the average score of the top 20 increasing by over 6%. This improvement highlights the continuous efforts of these destinations to improve their attractiveness and services, catering to the preferences of Muslim travellers. Here are the top ten non-OIC destinations based on the GMTI 2024 report.

Singapore

Singapore stands out as the only non-OIC destination that has consistently maintained a position in the top 10 of the GMTI since its inception. This notable achievement emphasises Singapore’s resilience and its holistic approach to accommodating the needs of Muslim travellers. Known for its cosmopolitan allure, Singapore offers a wealth of attractions and activities for everyone to enjoy. From exploring the National Museum and Peranakan Museum to experiencing the modern marvels of Marina Bay and the serene beauty of MacRitchie Nature Trail and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, there's something for every interest. 

Singapore's vibrant atmosphere and inclusivity make it an inviting destination, complemented by numerous halal dining options and over 70 mosques—the major ones being Masjid Sultan, Masjid An-Nahdhah, Masjid Malabar, and Masjid Abdul Gaffoor—spread across the city. 

 

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom has become one of the top destinations for Muslim travelers, with significant Muslim populations in cities like London, Birmingham, and Manchester. The UK offers a growing number of Muslim-friendly services, especially in urban centers where Halal food is widely accessible, including great Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
