Saudi Arabia is known for its hot climate so the key to comfort is light, comfortable clothing that will not get in the way when you are moving around. Pack enough clothing to last you on your journey, but not so much where you will be stuck with a huge pile of laundry when you return.
For your umrah preparation, having enough but not too much clothing is essential. Carrying one or two extra abayas or outer coverings will definitely come in handy since you won’t have much time for laundry, and there is no risk of running out of clothes. A personal care kit for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage can include items such as unscented oils, lotions and soap including wet wipes and sunscreen as the weather will be very hot. You might also want to pack on a hydrating lip balm along. Protecting your skin against the heat is quite important. Do include a pair of small scissors and nail clippers which will come in handy too.
