Ramadan often arrives as a teacher, reminding us that our time, our energy, and our sustenance are ultimate blessings meant to be shared. This year, the CrescentRating and HalalTrip team felt a deep sense of privilege to be able to pause our global work and reconnect with the heart of our local community in Jakarta.
On March 6th, 2026, 15 of our team members gathered in Pasar Minggu. Rather than seeing it as a task to complete, we approached the day as an opportunity we were grateful to receive: the chance to be a small part of someone else’s Ramadan journey.
The energy in Pasar Minggu was palpable as the team began distributing. In total, 650 food packs were distributed to individuals throughout the area—from local workers and street vendors to families preparing for their evening meals. Walking through the streets and engaging with these hardworking individuals of the community was a humbling reminder of the strength and spirit that defines this month.
A special portion of the drive was dedicated to Rumah Santri Kreatif As-Syifa. The team visited the center to deliver 60 food packs along with a cash donation to support their ongoing efforts in nurturing creative and spiritual growth for the youth.
With the most humble intention, we hope that these small gestures of support will create ripples of goodness that extend far beyond a single meal.
At HalalTrip and CrescentRating, we often speak of Ihsan (excellence and doing what is beautiful) as a corporate value. However, this food drive reminded us that Ihsan is also about the state of the heart.
True Ihsan is recognizing that everything we have is a trust, and being able to share even a small bit of that trust with others is a profound mercy. We are grateful that we were given the health, the means, and the unity as a team to show up and give back to the very community that sustains us.
As we move further into this holy month, our team carries with us the smiles and the brief moments of connection shared in Pasar Minggu. From this experience, we are reminded once again that no contribution is too small when offered with a grateful heart.
