Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O Allah! Lord over all authorities! You give authority to whoever You please and remove it from who You please; You honour whoever You please and disgrace who You please—all good is in Your Hands. Surely You ˹alone˺ are Most Capable of everything.

You cause the night to pass into the day and the day into the night. You bring forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. And You provide for whoever You will without limit.”
This verse acts as a reminder and encourages us humans to be thankful for the favors that Allah has granted to His Ummah, and His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), during the dawah process and prophethood of Islam. Through these verses, it is told that Allah granted the Prophet extra qualities that other humans and Messengers before him did not possess. This includes knowledge of the past, future, and what will occur in the Hereafter, just to name a few. With these qualities, it enables the dawah and teachings of Islam to be spread to different parts of the world. Blessing us and its Ummah to be under the teachings of Islam and be guided in the rightful way.
These verses also have the benefit of giving the one who recites them spiritual protection. Where it is quoted that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said to Muadh (RA), “Should I not teach you a prayer which, when used to plead Allah. Allah shall settle your debts, even if they are as enormous as Mount Uhud.” Where he would then tell him to recite and refer to the verses to help in solving his problems. This tells us that even with all of the problems that we’re currently going through, may they be big or small, Allah will always help us solve them and guide us with His best solution. Therefore, we should always remember and be aware of His presence, do our best to get through each hurdle, and believe in His greatness, as with His permission, everything is possible.
By understanding the past examples regarding the use of these verses by the Prophet, we can try to recite the verses to remind us of Allah’s blessings, state our thankfulness, and ask for his neverending protection and help. May we always be in Allah’s favor and under His protection by reciting these verses. Amin.
