From the outside, Spring City Resort might seem like your average city hotel, but the name of the Resort is a clever combination. The hotel is situated in an accessible spot within the City but still allows you to be transported to the healing, relaxing nature of Springs and to experience the benefits water has on your body.
When people think of Taiwan and Taipei City, it may not seem obvious enough to them to consider these places as a Halal destination. However, Islam is slowly growing in Taiwan and it is estimated that about 0.3% of the population are Muslims. This explains the growing market of Halal options out there.
Spring City Resort, which has been given a crescentrating of 6, has many things to offer. From the Beitou Hot Springs and public baths, to the museums and the Ketagalan culture centre with an art gallery and exhibit hall. There are also a great number of beautiful Taiwanese temples to visit and since Spring City Resort is known for its Mountain view, a huge array of ecological parks, beautiful gardens and architecture are built around the natural landscapes. As the Spring City Resort is located on the outskirts of Taipei city, the closest mosque or prayer room may be slightly further than what a Muslim traveller may be used to. The Taipei Grand Mosque is a little over an hour away by public transport and 30 minutes away by car. This is still a reasonable journey for Taraweeh or Eid prayers which can be arranged, but may be quite a distant for everyday prayers.

The same care and spring water is available in a beautiful marbled spa for an affordable price (under $20). This means that Muslim travellers no longer have to be concerned with privacy.
Furthermore, if you are a couple or family that would like to experience the spa everyday of your stay here, there is the option to stay in the Royal private spa. This is a room with an attached spa, which is cleverly designed to incorporate all the pools, in what would be a bathroom.
Last but not least, the hotel understands the need for a female-only spa, and thus, offers this option to female guests and visitors. The staff are trained to respect guests' personal choices and are happy to answer any questions regarding this female-only spa experience.

As a 5-star Hotel, Spring City Resort does not skimp on choice and variety. There are up to 10 room options, including 3 Villa options. There are various options for families, couples, group travel, and romantic trips. Each room focuses on allowing the light to flood the open space with feature windows that have nature and mountain views. If you’re looking for a specific experience, the Japanese room is styled with floor chairs and sleek sliding interior design, whilst the spring suite focuses its elements on a garden style and light floral ambiance.

All rooms are fitted with a hand shower and Japanese washlets - perfect for wudhu. Prayer mats and timetables are also provided upon request. This should comfort Halal travellers by making them feel more at home.
During Ramadan and on Fridays, assistance and transport can be arranged to take guests to the mosque for Jumuaah or Taraweeh.
This hotel prides itself in the Chinese, Japanese and Western variety it offers to its esteemed guests. As Taiwan’s main religion is Buddhism and most Buddhists are vegetarian as part of their beliefs, it is not hard to find varied veggie and vegan options. In a unique spin, Spring City not only has two wide-ranged themed restaurants, it also houses a bakery. The Spring City Resort provides Halal room service and halal breakfast upon request so Muslim guests do not have to worry about dining options. Also, this hotel does not serve alcohol and does not have a bar, in order to live up to their Spring relaxation theme.
