This 10,000 sqm temporary structure, designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, will host Olympic events while the Grand Palais undergoes renovations. Post-renovation, the arena will remain for a few months to accommodate additional Olympic and Paralympic competitions.

Built in 2021 with a sustainable timber structure and harmonious curves, the arena blends seamlessly into the Champ de Mars landscape, opposite the École Militaire. This design aligns with Paris 2024's environmental standards and reflects the aesthetics of the Grand Palais.

Initially created to host art, fashion, and sports events during the Grand Palais renovation, the arena will also stage cultural events by the Réunion des Musées Nationaux – Grand Palais.
