The Tori Katsu Burger and Bonito Fries are the latest mouthwatering additions to KFC’s menu on 10th September 2018. Head to the nearest outlet and grab them quick as they will be available for a limited time only. Special bundle meals start from $7.55.
These new Tori Katsu burger and Bonito Fries will be available at all KFC outlets except KFC Changi Airport Terminal 1, KidZania and Singapore Zoo.
Our team got a taste of these beauties and we were mesmerised. The crispiness of the chicken and the savoury taste of the Katsu sauce complemented each other perfectly. The meal tasted even better when accompanied by the Bonito fries.
The Tori Katsu Burger uses a chicken fillet that is coated with bread crumbs together with fine Japanese white shredded cabbage and drizzled with KFC’s special Katsu sauce and mayonnaise. Put it alongside the Bonito Fries that is sprinkled with the perennial favourite bonito flakes and you have a perfect match!
The Chicken fillet of the Tori Katsu burger has a great texture thanks to the crunchy Panko (Japanese breadcrumbs) and it is so well marinated that you can taste the authenticity of the Japanese flavour on the chicken itself even without the sauces.
The Tori Katsu burger and Bonito Fries would be amazing treats for Katsu lovers as you can taste its strong flavour throughout your dining experience. The generous amount of Katsu sauce also gives out a very distinct smell that can be detected from very far away.
However, those who are not used to the taste and smell of Japanese food might find the Katsu sauce too overpowering for your liking.
