Named after the story of Jekyll and Hyde, this English-themed halal restaurant is all about the merging of two cultures, merging western and Asian flavours using halal ingredients. The food is inspired by chef Nazz's background in Italian food and his love for local spices and flavours. The restaurant is warm and cosy. The hints of grey and the dim mood lighting make for a perfect atmosphere for a romantic date night complete with jazz playing in the background. The restaurant can accommodate couples as well as larger groups and is lot cosier than fine dining restaurants in Singapore.
Tea Mocktails from left to right: Constellations, Caribbean Hideaway, Emperor of Peru, Summer Isle, Addams Family and Sunset Boulevard
To add to the dining experience, 6 mocktails were created to mimic traditional cocktails that pair with the food served. The mocktails served are not your typical sugar filled concoction. Staying true to their English theme, Hyde and Co.'s tea mocktails are made with tea infused with fruits from their very own tea selection. Two crowd favourites are the Emperor of Peru and Summer Isle. The Emperor of Peru has a smokey yet smooth taste. The lapsang souchong tea adds to the smokey flavour with a twist of citrus rind, basil and lime juice to complete this gentlemanly drink pairing perfectly the Gochujang NZ Striploin Steak. Another of their mocktails to try is the Summer Isle. This crowd favourite pairs well with most of the menu are based on Hyde & Co's berry of the forest tea, a blend of berries, hibiscus and rosehip. The added spearmint, brown sugar and lime juice give the drink the classic mojito flavour.
