Enjoy the experience of the sights of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Laos in style aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express (E&O Express). Designed to provide guests with exclusive comforts, luxuries and delicious food, the train combines adventures with lavishness. The train was launched in 1993 initially to connect Singapore and Bangkok via Malaysia. However since 2007 the train has also been making trips from Bangkok to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos.
Itineraries: There are two types of itineraries that the E & O Express offers.
The Classic Journeys:
Bangkok to Singapore 4 days/3 nights: This trip takes you through the exclusive sceneries of Thailand and across the fabulous River Kwai further on to Malaysia. Visitors can enjoy exclusive views of colonial Georgetown and Fort Cornwallis, before passing the causeway over the Straits of Johor into Singapore.
Singapore to Bangkok 3 days/2 nights: Right from impressive Singapore to thrilling Bangkok the train journeys through the heart of South-East Asia. The train crosses the famous colonial Georgetown, Fort Cornwallis and also River Kwai.
Chronicles of South East Asia Journeys:
Epic Thailand (Bangkok to Chiang Mai) 7 days/ 6 nights: The train takes guests through some of the best areas of Thailand such as Isan Village, Prasat Sikhoraphum, Phanom Rung, Chiang Mai and the Khao Yai National Park.
Fabled Hills (Singapore to Bangkok) 7 days/ 6 nights: This journey takes visitors through the best stops from Singapore to Thailand. The journey includes visits to Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands, Penang, Tham Kasae Viaduct, and also River Kwai.
The cost of the tickets for E&O Express depends on the coach and the type of journey that you opt for.
