Asia Pacific’s first Halal Friendly Cruise Ship, Dream Cruises' World Dream, has been awarded a Crescent Rating of 5 which is valid from 11 December 2021 to 12 December 2022. So if you haven’t, here’s a chance for you to experience this unique and exciting Muslim-Friendly Cruise Ship yourselves!
The CrescentRating system rates the overall Halal-friendliness of cruises on a scale of one to seven - with one being the lowest rating and seven being the highest. A rating of 5 is awarded to cruise ships that are able to provide facilities/services such as halal-certified food, provide prayer information & facilities, and have bidets in the washrooms.
The availability of Halal Food is a make-or-break factor when traveling and its importance has resonated with Dream Cruises. Eat to your heart’s content on World Dream, with a designated central kitchen for Halal food and a Halal butchery section certified Halal by UNWHD.
For buffet lovers, you can find dedicated Halal buffets along with a vegetarian section in their onboard restaurant, the Lido. With the Halal food prepared and served from the same Halal-certified central kitchen. In addition to that, the Lido (Deck 16) is a strictly no alcohol zone.
During Ramadan, Sahur and Iftar meals can also be provided to guests too!
If you prefer to have your meals in your cabin, room service also has a Halal menu where you can get Halal food brought to your room using a designated Halal trolley.
A cruise ship can be a big place so going back to your cabin might be quite a distance away. Thankfully, there is a dedicated Musollah or Prayer Room available near the Medical Centre. The praying areas for males and females are separated with a segregated partition to ensure the privacy of guests while they perform their prayers.
The prayer room is equipped with prayers mats, prayer garments for female guests, Qurans, and tasbihs or prayer beads too!
Guests intending to perform their prayers in the musollah will be delighted to know that they can use the nearby washroom to take their wudhu or ablution.
For congregational prayers, the Basketball court can be converted to a large prayer space.
To make matters easier for their Muslim guests, Dream Cruises also provides Digital compasses for Qibla Direction that can point out the real-time QIbla direction. You can also request for a prayer timetable at the front desk.

The swimming pool has a separate timing usage policy for male and female guests to ensure the privacy of the guests. Furthermore, you can also purchase modest swimwear for Muslimahs onboard.
Treat yourselves to a relaxing spa session on the cruise, not forgetting the faith-based needs of their Muslim guests, you can request for male or female staff assistance during your spa sessions.
Muslimahs can let their hair down in peace as there is a designated space for Muslimahs at the beauty parlor, which includes a hair salon, manicure, and pedicure services. Specially catered to female guests wearing hijab.

With a fully equipped medical centre and professionals on board, you are in good hands For the comfort of guests, guests can request for doctors or nurses of the same gender as them to assist them at the medical centre.

Trained by UNWHD, the staff onboard the World Dream are knowledgeable and ready to assist the Muslim guests’ faith-based needs. Following the Halal guideline of Halal Assurance, the staff will be able to answer queries related to Qibla direction, prayer timings, and Halal food amongst others.
