Day 4 in the Philippines with Aizat – Exploring Manila
ASSALAMUALAIKUM. Day 4, we started our breakfast at Marriot Hotel since we needed to wake up early to visit some places here in Manila. We started our day at 8 am and everyone looked so sleepy but I was not (I hoped so but I was the one who looked less energetic than the others hahaha!). After breakfast we were ready to go to our first location which was Mananzan Handicrafts. What was it? Was it nice? Yes, it was a top tourist attraction in Manila because it carried an extremely wide and interesting selection of Philippine-made products from all over the country. So if you want to buy a souvenir, this place is highly recommended. But you need to remember that the shop is open daily from Monday to Sunday, but only from 9 am to 6 pm. If you’re late, then bye bye! Aizat---Day-4---1 In addition to the unique and beautiful souvenirs at the shop, it also exhibited the world-renowned ingenuity of outstanding Filipino craftsmanship. Keep in mind that Philippines is a wonderful place to visit. Next we went to Intramuros Manila Philippines. I didn’t really know about this place before, but trust me it was so beautiful. I couldn’t stop myself from taking pictures here even after everyone was done walking there. It had a nearly three-mile-long circuit of massive stone walls and fortifications that almost completely surrounded the entire districts. Aizat---Day-4---2 Aizat-Day-4---3 Aizat---Day-4---4 Aizat---Day-4---5 Aizat---Day-4---6 Aizat---Day-4---8 Aizat-Day-4---9 Honestly, this place blew my mind. I really loved this place because of the building. We met many Filipinos and they were extremely kind and friendly people - very welcoming and curious - but also highly respectful. They always seemed happy and were smiling with everyone. To sum it up, I loved them! (even if they don't love me ceh!). I wanted to stay at this place but because we had a time constraint, we went to our next location. Where was it? Dusit Thani. For lunch of course and everyone looked much happier than before. Who would be sad for food? Aizat---Day-4---9 Aizat---Day-4---10 I have to rate this as one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The biryani, chicken butter curry and the dessert were all so perfect! Plus, all the servers were smiling, friendly and took the time to answer our questions or serve anything that we wanted (I felt bad when I ordered orange juice and they needed to make a new drink just for me - I'm so bad!). It was so delicious that I hoped that I could come back to the hotel for dinner tonight. Yes, it was that good. Aizat---Day-4---12 We prayed at the nearby mosque for Zohor before we proceeded to the next place. The design of the mosque was simple but I think it had its own unique value. Then shopping time! Aizat---Day-2---13 Aizat---Day-4---15 Since Syazwan didn't have much time, we just walked to the SM Store and did some shopping there because Syazwan needed to arrive at airport around 6 pm and had to get ready by 4 pm because of the traffic. But what was best about the mall was that they had connected with another mall that you could walk inside the mall to go to another mall such as The Landmark, Greenbelt and so on. We didn't need to waste our time on the roads to go to the mall. Amazing right? But I pitied my money because I felt that I would spend all my money here (I HOPE NOT!). At 4 pm, it was time for Syazwan to leave. He was going back to Singapore since it was the last day of his trip in the Philippines. Aaaaa I'm so sad because he was like my new family; I will miss his jokes - waduuhhh! Hope we can meet again in the future and real soon. Take care Syazwan! Aizat---Day-4---17 This is what I bought from the Oxygen Store at Philippines. Aizat---Day-4---18 This was the best part because it was dinner time! We went for dinner at Shangri La Hotel at Manila. And what I was surprised about was that one of their chefs was from Malaysia (drop my mouth). The chef was really friendly when he spoke to me and because there was a Halal section at Shangri La Hotel, he guided us there to choose the food. He even made new chicken soup for Puteri because Puteri was sick and needed to eat something like porridge or soup. So kind of you Mr. Chef! Thank you so much. Aizat---Day-4---19 Aizat---Day-4---20   Aizat---Day-4---21   Aizat---Day-4---22 Aizat---Day-4---24   What to do after dinner? Of course we were very tired and I felt that I could sleep right after arriving at the hotel room. But I needed to pack my stuff first because it was our last night here. So sad! I will miss Philippines of course. Goodnight everyone. .
