Hello Manila! It's my second time being here, with a definitely different story. The story in short - I was invited by HalalTrip on a short trip to Philippines and it's definitely a yayyyy! :P I arrived in Manila early morning on 30th May and headed directly go to our hotel named Dusit Thani in Makati, right at the city center. Another yay! :))
At noon, I finally met with the other influencers from Malaysia and Singapore, with their partners. We had lunch together in The Pantry (the name of the restaurant at our hotel). It was sooo interesting. Why? Because they provided us a Halal food section and we also got a chance to see their kitchen. The hotel has received got a Crescent Rating of 5 for the overall Halal-friendliness of their facilities.
After that, we went for a tour to Intramuros. We also went to Fort Santiago, learnt a little of the story behind its history and went to the Museum of Jose Rizal.
Around Ashar time, we went to the biggest mosque in Manila. It was financed by the King of Saudi Arabia – which is why it was known as the Faisal Mosque.
The time finally came. The wait was over. Finallyyy we got a chance to stroll around the mall around the hotel! I went to some malls which were very close to the hotel, just to stroll around and see the neighbourhood.
At around 7, we had our dinner at the Shangri-La Makati. The hotel had a certified Halal food section. No need to ask, the food was the best! Every single item was a masterpiece ahahaha! It was definitely worth a try!
Day 1 passed; Can't wait for another day to come! :)
