Murtabak is a well-loved Indian dish by many in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The simplest way to explain what a Murtabak is would be that it's a stuffed roti prata - usually filled with onions, meat, and egg. Similar dishes in other countries would be like Gözleme in Turkey or a savory Hotteok in South Korea!
Murtabak is definitely a perfect pair to your teh tariks and iced milos. There's also no specific timing or event on when you can enjoy a Murtabak. Sometimes, we do give Murtabaks as gifts too when we're visiting!
So if you're in Singapore and would love to give Murtabak a shot, here's a list of where you can get some AWESOME Murtabaks - from a Murtabak lover, to you.

Definitely one of the most underrated restaurants and also one of my favorites! Mr K Prata carries Indian Muslim cuisine and they have a wide range of amazing food for you to choose from! From the classic pratas to mee gorengs, their amazing briyanis, and definitely not forgetting the very filling Murtabak, you will LOVE Mr K Prata.
Being a fan of the restaurant, I've tried plenty of options from their menu and even recently, I also managed to give their Murtabak a shot. Their portions are super generous for almost everything and the filling in the Murtabak is definitely packed - letting you taste the flavourful meat at every bite.
If you are in the east, you should definitely give Mr K Prata a shot! They have a few outlets all around Singapore but recently they opened their newest outlet at Tampines Mart.

It was definitely one of my go-to spots to hang out with my friends after our classes as it was not only affordable but also so good. An additional unique feature that Srisun has would be their drink towers - which are super cool and quite instaworthy.
They have four different options for Murtabak for you to choose from which are chicken, mutton, sardine and if you have friends who are vegetarians, they also have a vegetarian Murtabak.
Srisun Express also provides delivery services so if you're feeling cozier at home that day, you can opt to get your Murtabaks sent to you in the comfort of your own home!
