There’s no better way to beat the heat than with a delicious, cold, creamy gelato! This dessert is pretty much what we know as ice-cream, but is made in a traditional Italian style, with more intense flavors and usually with all-natural ingredients. While Italy is home to countless gelaterias, take your time and hunt for the ones that serve the fresh, handmade kind. Trust us, it’ll be worth it!
Golden strips of deepfried dough sprinkled with icing sugar or cinnamon, and served with a container full of melted chocolate, churros are classic Spanish sweet treats that will keep you going back for more.

A crispy dough tube fried to golden perfection, and filled with a creamy, sweet ricotta filling? Italy, here we come! The Italian pastry is also quite popular in the United States, where variations of it can be found.
Black Forest Gateau, or SchwarzwälderKirschtorte in German, is a divine layered dessert consisting of chocolate cake, whipped cream and cherries - considered to be one of the greatest chocolate desserts ever. While variations of this dessert can be found all over the world, where better to try it out for the first time, than in its country of origin!
Flaky layers of filo pastry, and sugary spiced nuts, with syrup or honey drizzled on top. Yum! Baklava is a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern specialty that is crunchy, and sweet and absolutely mouthwatering! The popular dessert is usually served in Greece during special occasions, and is made in a variety of ways throughout the country.

There is no way your trip to France is complete without tasting a macaron. Incredibly hard to perfect, the best macarons are hard and crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Found at bakeries all over France, this meringue-based sweet comes in several flavours and are known to look as incredible as they taste.
This wiggly Italian dessert may be quite simple to make, but boy does it taste anything but! Panna cotta’s are creamy and silky in texture, and exquisite in flavor, and are usually served with berries, or a delicious sauce.
If you go bananas for banana, the iconic Banoffee pie is a definite must-have. The English dessert is a combination of bananas, sticky toffee, and cream that is layered onto a buttery biscuit, or pastry base.

Not a fan of coffee? Tiramisu will convert you! This coffee-flavored Italian dessert that literally means "pick me up", is a combination of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, mascarpone filling, and cocoa. One spoon-full of this dreamy dessert, and your trip to Italy is complete!
