This medieval fortress also known as Chateau de Chillon, is over 1000 years old and is located on the banks of Lake Geneva. This fortress has been the source of inspiration - with 14th century murals in the Camera Dominiand notably the painted camel motif. With underground rooms to explore, three courtyards and four great halls with a gorgeous view of Lake Geneva, Castle Chillon is a must visit.

The Abbey Library of St. Gall is the oldest library in Switzerland was founded by Saint Othmar the founder of the original Abbey of St. Gall. The interiors are decorated in a Rococo style, and this ancient library is home to some unique books and manuscripts and is it also a UNESCO Heritage site.
