Fatima is a pilgrimage town located about 142Km north of Lisbon. It is an important Catholic pilgrim site that features the Virgem de Fatima Sanctuary. There is a wax museum in the city that portrays the history of Fatima.
There are numerous accommodation places in Fatima where visitors can stay. There are also several fountains and beautiful buildings in the city worth seeing. The Fountain of Alvaijar and the Fountain of Poco de Soudo are especially good to see. The Olive Oil Press in Estrada das Matas is also a good place for visiting and seeing the process of olive oil production.
