The closest major airport to the city of Nijmegen is Weeze Airport, which is situated in Germany. Located approximately 55 kilometres from the center of Nijmegen, this airport is only 40 minutes away. Tourists can travel to Nijmegen Central Station by bus, which has to be booked in advance. The other airports visitors can use are the Eindhoven Airport, which is located approximately 72 kilometres from the center of Nijmegen, and the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The main airport of Netherlands; the Amsterdam Airport is the more convenient of the two as it has a direct train connecting the cities.
