Eindhoven, a city in the province of North Brabant is the fifth largest city in The Netherlands. Although Eindhoven is not a main tourist destination in The Netherlands, the city has a wide variety of things to do and see. Home to a range of museums and fabulous shopping streets this modern metropolis is a great destination to enjoy a weekend getaway. Known as the City of Lights, Eindhoven houses the factory that started manufacturing light bulbs. The factory still exists and it now houses a museum. There is plenty to see and do in Eindhoven and most of the sightseeing can be done on foot or bike as the city is quite compact. Due to the city’s proximity to Germany, visitors can also use the services at the German airports.
