Aley is a beautiful town located in Mount Lebanon. Aley gained popularity in the late 19th century, when a railroad was built passing through the town. During the Ottoman rule, Aley served as the capital of Mount Lebanon. The town features a pleasant weather and attracts a number of visitors looking for an escape during the summer months. During the winters, Aley receives a good amount of snowfall covering the town in white.
