The closest airport to Sun City is Pilanesberg International Airport, which is located about 7 kilometres away. The closest major airport to Sun City however, is O. R. Tambo International Airport, located in Kempton Park, near Johannesburg, approximately 146 kilometres away.
Muslim visitors will be able to locate a couple of Halal restaurants in Sun City. The Palm Terrace at the Cabanas hotel is said to serve Halal food, as well as the Grill Room, the Crocodile Lounge, the Palace Pool Deck and the Palace Gazebo at The Palace of the Lost City hotel, and the Raj Restaurant at the Sun City Hotel. It is however best to make sure the food served at these restaurants is Halal, before placing an order.
