Seeb - also known as AsSeeb or As Sib - is a prominent city in north-eastern Oman, located a few kilometres towards the northwest of Oman. It is a fairly large city and is home to a population of over 200,000 inhabitants.
Like other neighbouring cities, the city is known for featuring a rather hot desert climate with temperatures being extremely high during summer. June and July are usually the hottest months and can reach temperatures over 40°C, with 49.2°C being the record highest. Rainfall is not very common and typically occurs during the months of December to April.
