Ras al Khaimah is a beautiful emirate in UAE. The main destination in the emirate is the Ras al Khaimah City which is the capital and home to most of the population of the emirate. There are several other towns and villages around the emirate which are good to visit for day trips. The Al Jazirah Al Hamra is one of the best preserved fishermen village in the entire UAE. The beaches of Ras al Khaimah are undoubtedly the main attraction of the emirate. Unspoiled by development and offering a peaceful resort to visitors the beaches are great to enjoy.
Ras al Khaimah also offers a variety of water sports like sailing, scuba diving, fishing, etc. Surrounded by mountains and deserts visitors can also enjoy mountain climbing and wadi bashing. The WadiHaqil is a huge wadi in the emirate. Visitors can also visit the remains of Sheeba’s Palace which dates to the 16th century. The WadiBih is another beautiful wadi located in Ras al Khaimah. Those who wish to enjoy fun and adventure rides should visit the Ice land Waterpark, which features over 50 rides.

Ras al Khaimah is served by the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. The airport is located about 20 minutes from the Ras al Khaimah city center. Taxis are the best way to travel between the airport and the city. Ideally a taxi ride from the airport to the city center costs around 30dhs.
