Located in the Taranaki Region on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand is the picturesque city of New Plymouth. The New Plymouth Coastal Walkway is an award winning walkway that stretches for 10 kilometres along the coast of New Plymouth. The walkway will take visitors past some stunning picturesque areas like the Waipu Lagoons, the New Plymouth Golf Club, Te Rewa Rewa Bridge as well as beautiful farmland and more. Those using the walkway can run, cycle, skate or simply walk.
New Plymouth Airport is the closest major airport and is located approximately 11 kilometres from the center of New Plymouth. This airport not only serves New Plymouth but also the surrounding Taranaki Region. It is said to be the 10th busiest airport in New Zealand and is easily accessibly. Rotorua International Airport is the closest international airport to New Plymouth and is located approximately 315 kilometres away.
