The best time to visit Fujikawaguchiko is during the summer months when the flowers bloom and the weather is pleasant.
There are five lakes in the surrounding of Fujikawaguchiko namely Lake Yamanaka, Lake Sai, Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Shoji and Lake Motosu. In the town visitors can avail the Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Retro Bus and check out the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Parkand the Yagizaki Park. There are also a few museums in the town that can be visited namely the Kawaguchiko Konohana Museum and the Kawaguchiko Music Forest.

There are trains available from Shinjuku in Tokyo to the Kawaguchiko Station. At the Otsuki Station visitors will have to change from the JR Chuo Line to the Fuji Kyuko Line. The train journey takes about 2-2.5 hours. Buses and cars are also available from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko.
