The main attraction of Legian is the Legian Beach. It is a long sandy plain that stretches far from Jalan Melasti to Jalan Werdakura. This place is perfect for any visitors who enjoy relaxing walks, surfing lessons, or any beachside sports. Lastly, in the evening, the view of the sunset from Legian Beach is absolutely divine.
Legian is rich in various artistic expressions. Visit Merta Nadi Art Market where you can visit and purchase from local boutiques, handcraftsmen, and artists selling authentic Balinese designs! Venture into Biasa ArtSpace and Nyaman Gallery where paintings, photographs, sculptures, and other contemporary artworks made by Indonesian artists are portrayed to the audience! Finally, pay your respects to the fallen victim of the 2002 Legian Bombing by visiting the Ground Zero Memorial Monument located at the border of Legian and Kuta.
Legian is filled with several shops offering a wide range of authentic products. Whether it is beach wear, party wear, or simple local clothing, visitors can find them along Jalan Melasti, Jalan Werkudara, Jalan Padma, and Jalan Arjuna where various stalls are located! Jalan Padma, especially, has numerous shops selling handcrafted beads and shell jewelry, while stores at Jalan Arjuna often sell fabrics and beachwear. Jalan Legian also has great shops specializing in high-end shops and boutiques.
The Ngurah Rai International Airport is the available airport to Legian. The airport is located 20 minutes from Legian. Taxis are available from the airport to the town and they cost around Rp70,000. Unfortunately, no public transportation is available from the airport to the town.
Plenty of halal restaurants are available in Legian where visitors can relish delicious local cuisine. The recommended ones are Layali, Warung Nikmat Bakung Sari, Warung Kolega, Warung Alas Daun, and Jejaton Restaurant.
