Casablanca is one of the most underrated destinations in Morocco. Home to several industries and the commercial hub of the country, Casablanca is a great place to learn about the history of the area. The city offers a number of interesting places and an excellent dining scene. A walk along the AinDiab coast is highly recommended. The city is especially known for its art deco and beautiful architecture. The best place to observe the art and architecture is the Place Mohammed V and along the Boulevard Mohammed V.

The Old Medina is the quintessential Moroccan city and well-worth a visit. The Mahkama du Pacha is a Hispanic-Moorish building with around 60 beautifully designed and decorated rooms. The Central Post Office in the city is a beautiful building built in the 18th century. Visitors can send postcards to their loved ones from this post office. There are a number of hammams in the city some meant only for women.

There are numerous malls and markets in Casablanca where visitors can shop. The Morocco Mall close to the AinDiab area has numerous shops and well-known chains. Traditional goods can be found in shops around the Old Medina. There is a large souk in the neighborhood of DerbGhalef. The Maarif neighborhood also has several shops and boutiques selling European and American fashion brands.

Nearby Airports

The Mohammed V Int'l Airport serves the city of Casablanca. It is one of the busiest airports in the country. Visitors can take a train from the airport to the Casa Voyageurs Station. A one-way ticket costs 40dhs. The train leaves every one hour and from the station visitors can take taxis to reach their desired destination.

Halal Restaurants

There are several halal restaurants in Casablanca where visitors can dine. Almost all the restaurants in Casablanca serve halal food. The best places to enjoy halal food in Casablanca include Ajiad Casablanca, Ibis Moussafir Casablanca,Al Mounia, La Sqala, Amoud, F.Kabbaj, Zayna, Khos, etc.

Mosques

There are several mosques in Casablanca such as the King Hassan II Mosque,Masjid Idriss, Masjid Al Qods, Masjid Hay Assafaa, Masjid Al Nour, Mosque Al Imam Malek, Masjid Sunna, Masjid Dar Almakhzan, etc.
