The town of Niseko is located in Hokkaido in japan. The area is best known for skiing and other snow activities. There are four main ski areas around Niseko namely Hanazono, Niseko Village,Hirafuand Annupuri. The best skiing area is the Hirafu which is located about 20 minutes from Niseko. The area of Nisekois a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Even during the summer months the area comes to life with some wonderful hiking paths and pretty waterfalls and lakes.
The Mt. Yotei is the highest peak in the area at a height of 1,898m. The mountain is located at Niseko and offers great views. When visiting Niseko during the summers, it is possible to climb up the mountain. There is also a mountain hut at the peak where it is possible to stay at night and enjoy the sunrise view.
There are a few shops in Niseko where visitors can find items of basic necessities and also skiing and adventure sports gear.
The nearest airport to Niseko is the New Chitose Airport in Sapporo. The airport caters to local as well as international air traffic. From Sapporo visitors can take the Skybus which drops visitors at the hotel. During the winter months there are several limousine bus services available to various ski resorts around Niseko. A one-way ticket by the limousine bus costs 1900 to 2300 Yen.
Finding halal restaurants in Niseko is difficult. Seafood is easily available in the area and visitors can cook themselves or inform the hotel about their food preference. The nearby city of Otaru has a few good halal restaurants.
