Granollers is a small town in Spain that has become increasingly industrialized during the past few years and is drawing a lot of visitors to it – both local and international. It is now a bustling city with many industries based at the heart. But if you venture South, the old traditions of agriculture are still to be seen in the Palou area.
The Congost River runs through the city and vestiges of the Renaissance can be seen in the La Porxada, a former grain storehouse. Gothic Architecture is also visible in the town’s buildings which have been restored since their construction. Walking is the preferred mode of transportation through the city as vehicle parking areas are limited.
The main tourist attraction that Granollers has to offer is its shopping opportunities – shops selling shoes, clothes and high-end fashion are springing up around the city in the place of the markets for meats and produce which were readily available but are now being replaced. Accommodation options and eateries are also available in abundance.
