The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is among the prime attractions of Abu Dhabi. The mosque is built of flawless white marble and the domes are crowned with real gold. The main prayer hall is laid with the largest hand woven carpet in the world.
Visit the Yas Marina Circuit racetrack that holds the annual F1 Grand Prix. Adjoining the racetrack is the Ferrari World, a Ferrari themed amusement park. There is a public bus that leaves regularly from the airport every half an hour and a one way trip costs about 4 Dhs.
The Dubai International Airport is also within close reach of Abu Dhabi and can be reached easily. Metered taxis from the Dubai airport to the Abu Dhabi city centre cost 300 Dhs.
