The Spanish Arch at the end of the pedestrian area is one of the last remains of the historic defenses of the town. There is a park close to the Spanish Arch and is great to spend some time around.

The Salthill is a popular neighborhood in Galway and is popular for the Promenade.At the Promenade visitors can watch people enjoying their time and also some taking a jump into the ocean.
