Zhuhai

Description

Zhuhai is a huge city spread across a large areas. There are several islands off the coast of Zhuhai that can easily be visited. The Fisher Girl Statue is the main landmark of the city. The statue stands at the Xianglu Bay and is draped in a fishnet. The statue holds a big pearl with both hands high in air. The statue symbolizes the warm welcoming natures of the residents of Zhuhai.

The New Yuanming Palace is a beautiful structure located in the city. The palace is built on the lines of the original Yuanmingyuan Garden located in Beijing. The garden comprises of eighteen sights and the beautiful buildings and palaces in the area represent the imperial architecture original to the Qing dynasty. There is a beautiful promenade built along the coastline of Zhuhai known as the Lover’s Road. The road offers exclusive views of the Macau Skyline. In the Doumen District is the Imperial Yuwenquan Hot Springs with over 20 types of hot springs.

Zhuhai offers an exclusive shopping experience. There are various types of local products that can be bought when in Zhuhai. Some of the recommended shopping malls include Jusco, Tax-Free Shopping Mall, Yingbin Commercial Plaza, Jingshan Road Commercial Area, etc. Some of the best things to buy in the area include electronics, accessories, watches clothing, etc.

Nearby Airports

The city is served by the Zhuhai Airport, which offers connectivity to various domestic destinations. The airport is located in the Doumen District of the city just west of downtown.

The nearest international airport to Zhuhai is the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. From the Guangzhou Airport an express bus service is available to Zhuhai that charges ¥80 for a one-way ticket and takes around 2.5 hours.

Halal Restaurants

There are a few halal food outlets and restaurants in Zhuhai that can be found around the Xiangzhou Mosque. The XinYue Muslim Restaurant is one of the best halal restaurants in the city that servers traditional dishes of the Xinjiang province.

Mosques

There is one mosque in Zhuhai, the Zhuhai Xiangzhou Mosque. It is the only mosque in the city placed in a convenient location.
